Job Profile
Our system consists of core engine incorporating sophisticated data-mining and language processing algorithms implemented in Java. We fully utilize MySQL, Lucene, JSP, HTML/CSS/Javascript and Dojo Toolkit among many other things. We expect our developers to be working on different parts of the system and hence familiarity with all these technologies is required. The level of expertise however can vary and the developer can fall in one of the following two categories:
Frontend Engineer
- Past experience developing web applications (DHTML/CSS/AJAX)
- Strong Javascript skills (preferably Dojo toolkit)
- Sense of design and usability
- Good knowledge of Java and JSP

Core Technology Engineer
- Strong Java skills
- Familiarity with multi-threading, concurrency, Lucene, MySQL, regex etc.. in Java
- Knowledge of web development (HTML/CSS/Javascript)
- Familiarity with Linux based environment
- Knowledge of text analytics and data mining algorithms is a plus

Sr. Software Engineer
- Excellent programming skills
- At least 3 years experience
- Inside-out knowledge of Java and web development (Java/JSP/DHTML/AJAX)
- Familiarity with multi-threading, Lucene, MySQL, XML, regex, Subversion etc..
- Good knowledge of Linux
- Passion for producing good software
- Past experience hacking large codebases
